TRAINING AND SUITABILITY Dodger is a finished ranch horse, truly versatile in all phases of ranch work; he is an awesome cowhorse and fantastic in the mountains. Dodger is not a horse for beginners, because he is too responsive; but for an advanced-intermediate and above, he’ll be a fun horse to ride. For someone wanting to learn how to work cattle (cut, box, rail work and roping) this horse is ideal, he does it all really well. He knows his job so well that he can show you how to do it right.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION Dodger is really fun to ride, with a get-up-and-go attitude and a yes-mam (or sir) approach. He has vibrant color and a great temperament to match. He is a brilliant dappled palomino with a thick snow-white mane and tail. He is straight legged, with good bone and nice big black feet. Dodger lived on the RA Brown ranch until he was 14, and was the personal horse for the ranch’s foreman. He is a very authentic ranch horse and he knows how to do the job well. He is very cowy and has competed in many ranch rodeos and with the very competitive Ranch Cutting Association, winning or placing consistently . He is an awesome trail horse and has climbed all over our Colorado mountains hunting cattle. He is well-mannered, eager to please and easy to handle; he is the perfect first mate looking for a captain. Dodger wants to be a one-person horse; he likes to have a bond with his rider and know them well. You can put him away for months and then step your foot in the stirrup and go get the job done. Dodger is the perfect horse for the intermediate to advanced rider who is ready to learn the art of working cattle and/or hit the trails hard.
